6 Tips for a Stress-Free Holiday

Thanksgiving Day is just a couple of days away, followed by the wonderful Christmas and holiday season. While this is such a great time to get friends and family together, it can also put such a stress to us. The food preparations and gift shopping, not to mention the house cleaning, the traveling (if any) and all the financial things involved. If we’re not aware of this, we will eventually succumb to the stress and not enjoy the time we have with friends and family.

With that being said, here are some practical tips for a stress-free holiday…

Food, Fashion, and Football

After a year of dating my fiancé and being engaged to him for the past 4 months, I think it is safe to say that I am now hooked on football! So now my passions are food, fashion, and football! My fiancé is the biggest sports fan but football is definitely his favorite. Since the season started, we’ve been doing nothing but watch football games on the weekends.

This past weekend, instead of our usual of watching the game at a sports club, we decided to do some outdoor grilling with some of our friends. It’s #GameTimeGrilling baby!

Now, I can’t cook jack! But thanks to my man who knows how to grill and cook!

Save More With Groupon Coupon

I’m sure that many of you have heard of Groupon and probably many have used them as well.

For those of you who are not familiar with Groupon, it is basically a website that offers deals on restaurants, spas, health and fitness, travel, daily activities and many others. I’ve always loved finding good deals from this website. One that I think is such a good deal is my quarterly vehicle oil change. I have done about 3 and have only purchased it for about $20 when normally it’s $35. My fiancé and I have also enjoyed some restaurant deals from Groupon. Savings like these do add up.

Summer 2016 Travel Diary: Tapatio Springs

In the beginning of summer this year, my fiancé and I headed out to Boerne, Texas, with some friends, and stayed at Tapatio Springs. Boerne is about 35 minutes NW of San Antonio. We spent the weekend there and had an activities-filled stay! There was so much to do with so little time.

Tapatio Springs is such a precious gem in the hillcountry. They had a $2 million renovation back in 2015 and the resort is just absolutely beautiful. Loved all the lush greeneries, the springs located sporadically throughout the resort, and the hills. The sunset was  gorgeous as well! We got there an hour or so before sunset on a Friday and we were just able to capture its beauty! Nothing beats Texas sunset and it’s even more captivating when you get to see its beauty in a resort like Tapatio.

I drove around the resort in my golf cart for about an hour, just enjoying it’s beautiful sceneries. It really doesn’t take an hour to get around the whole resort but I loved seeing the springs, the ducks, and just about everything else! I had such a blast doing that while my fiancé and friends did some tee time. My favorite part was driving through the water over bridges. They had a couple and I felt like a kid that’s never seen something like that before!

Feasting at Red Lobster’s Crabfest

Y’all…Crabfest is ON at Red Lobster! It’s been awhile since I’ve eaten at Red Lobster and I’ve been meaning to visit it for the longest time, considering that there’s one only 5 minutes away from my house and I always pass by it whenever I go to Pearland Town Center. During Crabfest, Red Lobster serves the most delicious crab menus for a limited time only. So it’s the best way to enjoy different crab dishes!

So my fiancé headed to Red Lobster last Sunday and has our crab feast because we’re just #CrabHungry!

My fiancé ordered their newest drink called Rogue Wave. It’s a concoction of  Sauza Gold tequila, blue curacao and house margarita mix topped with a splash of ginger ale and served on the rocks in a commemorative Red Lobster mason jar with the Deadliest Catch™ logo. If y’all watch that TV show, you know how crazy and dangerous catching crabs can be! All we get to do is enjoy the crab after the dangerous feat. I love that we got to keep the mason jar with the show’s logo.

5 Reasons Why I Love Houston, Texas and Why You Will Too!

The moment I stepped foot in Houston while visiting back in 2007, I knew it was home. It may sound dramatic but that’s the truth. When we moved several months later from Miami, the only adjustment I had to make was remembering the gazillion highways and learning how to drive in Texas-size lanes. Oh and maybe the time and distance it takes to get from one place to another. You know, as they say, “Everything is big in Texas”, and they ain’t lying.

Texas is a country of its own (ahem!) and Houston is the fourth largest city in the nation. I really can’t help but be proud to be a Texan! There are so many things to love about Texas and my city but let me just share 5 of my favorite things…(aside from the fact that I can wear Cowboy boots of course!)

3 Starbucks Products That Are Perfect Poolside Drinks

When you think of poolside parties or just spending the weekend by the pool, the last thing you’d probably think of bringing with you is coffee or coffee-based drinks, right? You’re probably thinking soft drinks, margaritas, daquiri, or sangria. But it doesn’t hurt to get out of the box once in a while and add them to your list of drinks at the party. And don’t get me wrong, it’s not the hot coffee that I’m talking about.

SHIPT Has Landed! The New Way to Do Your Grocery Shopping

SHIPT has launched in Houston a few days ago and their team has reached out for me to try out their service. Shipt is an app for a grocery shopping service. Can we say COOL?!

With such a busy schedule, I think we all can use this type of service – whether it’s every week or every once in a blue moon. My mom does our grocery shopping for the most part but since she doesn’t drive, I normally have to drive her to the grocery store to pick up the groceries. A lot of times, it takes a couple of hours from my busy schedule, but it needs to get done, right?
