Happy first day of summer! What better way to celebrate the first day of summer and the LONGEST day of the year than to wear a maxi dress meet romper in palm print?
Although to be perfectly honest, the past few days in Houston is nothing but rain and gloomy skies and today is not any different. Today, we’re supposed to enjoy about 14 hours of daylight since the sun supposedly rose at 5:43 this morning and is not supposed to go down till
If you’re following me on Instagram, then you’ve probably already seen this outfit. If not, please do so. I normally post sneak peeks of upcoming outfits on Instagram first before it goes live on my blog.
Being a woman can be tricky sometimes, ain’t it? Especially in this day and age. I don’t know about you ladies, but sometimes, I feel that way. It doesn’t help that we’re constantly being fed with unsolicited opinions and advices from social media. Advices such as “You can do whatever you want with your body.” or “Flaunt what you got.” It honestly irked me when I saw the first quote from a popular brand account I follow.
Of course, we can do whatever we want with our body. It’s our body after all. But we all have to realize that we can’t do anything at all, whether in life in general, relationships, business, career, family, without repercussions. One of the universal laws is The Law of Cause and Effect or the Law of Polarity, which in summary, basically states that what you put out there, you get back.
We often hear the saying “dress for success.” But what does it really mean? What comes to mind when you hear someone say it?
Whether we like it or not, we live in a material world. We live in a society where we are judged by our appearance. Appearance does matter, no matter how many times we’ve been told “Do not judge a book by its cover.” We judge others by how they look and we are judged by how we look – in business and in day to day basis.
What people see on the outside is you telling them how to address you in their thought, words, and action. Think about your own experience for example…when you see a man or a woman who’s dressed smartly, you often feel a sense of respect and admiration for that person, correct? Put yourself in the position of every person you meet for the first, second, third time or even everyday. The way you dress and carry yourself has an impact towards the people you meet.
Advance happy Memorial Day to all of you my readers in the States. This is such an important occasion, in commemoration of the men and women, who served our country courageously and selflessly. We salute and honor you!
The other day, I shared a his and hers Memorial Day outfit idea with my husband. If you missed it, click here to check it out. Today is back to solo gig.
Are you ladies familiar with the store Agaci? I just recently discovered it and boy oh boy, I’m a little addicted. Ha! They have the cutest pieces with Forever21 and H&M price points, but in my opinion, with better quality materials.

Happy Friday lovelies! Who’s going to a Cinco de Mayo celebration tomorrow?
Whether you’re of hispanic descent or not, Cinco de Mayo is just so much fun to celebrate. Think margaritas for $5 in some places and they are good too! Chips and queeeeeesssoooo! Yummmm! And of course, the latin beats!
My husband and I haven’t quite decided yet where we’re going but we sure are going somewhere! Just can’t miss the festivities. What about you?
Wedding season is upon us! I love going to weddings because not only you get to be a part of a wonderful new chapter in someone’s life but you also get to dress up and get dolled up. In the past 10 years or so, I’ve only been to four – one being my own and the other one I was a bridesmaid to my cousin’s wedding so I really didn’t get to dress up as a guest.
It’s not at all easy these days to find a cute dress that your mother won’t frown upon or the women at your church would roll their eyes or raise their eyebrows on. Not that you’d care at your age but you get the point.
These days, dress lengths are either maxi, midi, or real mini. But this pink ruffle dress has such a modest length that you’d totally be comfortable wearing it to church or to any of your kid’s school gathering without other moms staring you down. HA! Very appropriate. Not showing much cleavage at all. And if you’d like to dress it down a little, a denim jacket would totally look cute with it.
